Bank Van Breda serves exclusively entrepreneurs and liberal professionals. They guide clients not only in growing their business, but also in making key financial decisions throughout their lives: from the first investment to retirement planning. In IT, the main challenge lies in managing a wide range of initiatives simultaneously: regulatory compliance, security, modernization and innovation. Bank Van Breda relies on a dedicated team of 120 internal IT professionals, supported by select external partners, to meet these demands.
The case
Bank Van Breda and Euricom have partnered since the early 2000s, starting with the development of the bank’s first .NET applications. As technology evolved, so did the collaboration. Today, four Euricom consultants contribute to key strategic projects.
Kristof and Tom are part of the architecture team working on ‘New Sky’, a large-scale overhaul of the banking platform. They are making the system cloud-ready by transitioning to .NET Core and an API-first architecture. The front end is built with Blazor, complemented by MAUI components.
The team currently works with an internal cloud, while keeping future scalability in mind. They also ensure the platform is equipped to handle daily releases, no small feat for a banking environment.
In the lending team, Nils is optimizing applications that support the credit process. Thomas contributes to the development of advisory and investment tools, helping customers manage their assets more effectively.
